The CVCC is a non-profit cycling club located in the Comox Valley community on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Our focus is to encourage participation in the sport of Road, Cross and Gravel Cycling through group rides, road races, time trials, cross and gravel events throughout the year, with an emphasis on youth/junior rider support and development.
Members are cycling enthusiasts of all ages; youth riders (13-18 yo), adult riders 19+

Mt. Washington Challenge – July 26th, 2025

Registration Opens June 28th!

The Mount Washington Challenge 2025. This epic bicycle hill climb features the 16.2 km with over 1000m of climbing to the Mt Washington resort.
The Start line is at the Duncan Main crossing.  Riders will be issued a number along with a voucher for the meal when they check in.
Parking is available there.

  • There will be a vehicle to take your items up to the top.  Put them in a bag please.

Riders will assemble off road at Duncan Bay Mainline Rd for the start.
Mass start at 10:30 am.
Finish line at the resort Alpine parking lot.FA, EAP is in place
There will be a ‘sweep’ person to follow the last rider.
First finisher expected before 11:30, last at 12:30pm approximately.

Riders to remain on the right side of the road.  Road is open to traffic.
Lunch on the mountain included with your registration fee.
Please ride with attention to road conditions on the open to traffic road.
If you plan to ride back to the start, note that there can be windy conditions along the way.

Youth (U15, U17, U19) $15, Adult CVCC members $20, Adult non-members $30

Registration will close on July 26th at noon.

NO REGISTRATION ON THE DAY OF EVENT.

Ed Schum Bursaries for youth male and female 14-18 years old; $200

Refreshments for all at the Finish Line.
$100 prize to the male/female who betters the KOM/QOM on Strava!

The CVCC has 4 TT courses scheduled for June 2025

Time Trial Wednesday – 3 Courses to test your power in a race against the clock!

2-person TT coming up on July 16th, on the Dove Creek course – partner up with a similar strength rider and do your bit’n’bit each for a fun fast time.  Timing based on the 2nd place rider across the line.

Mount Washington Hill Climb, July 26, 2025 at 10:30am. Registration will open in June.

  • Youth bursary prizes, refreshments at the finish line!

Get your position dialed in and your fast wheels on, beginning the first week in June, on Wednesday until the end of June, the Wednesday rides will become Wednesday Time Trials.
Starting with the Dove Creek route, then Forbidden Plateau, next is Farnham 2 laps. And the bonus end of the
month, Burns Rd TT course.
